Hitchhiker's Guide Movie

Here I am, with a brain the size of the planet, and what do you have me doing? Blogging? [Sigh]The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie is less than two months from release, and since it is a favorite book for both Margot and me, and since the movie premiere is around the time of Margot's birthday, I thought it would be great to get a pile of our friends to go see the movie opening day, then come back to the homestead for a bit of Beeblebroxian Bacchanalia.  I've never thrown a birthday party before.  Luckily, I have several offers of assistance, and some great advice from "the Guide".  DON'T PANIC!

If you hadn't already seen the trailer when it was first released on amazon.com, you can go to the official movie trailers web page.  The production quality is a few notches better than the BBC TV series.  Margot thinks that the guy they have playing Arthur Dent in the movie is too hunky.  There is some debate about the house as to whether she's ever called me hunky, so if she's that reluctant to admit to the hunkiness of an obvious hunk, then you know where this fellow probably rates on the hunk-o-meter.  Anyway, Margot believes that Arthur Dent should be... well... more of a nebbish.  She doesn't see this as sufficient reason not to see the movie, though.

Approximately two weeks later, on May 11th, is the anniversary of the death of Douglas Adams, the brilliant creator of the Hitchhiker universe.  Perhaps Margot and I can go see the movie again that weekend, and commune with the spirit of Douglas.  Wherever you are now, Douglas, don't get the veal.
